Integrated Advocacy

Unfortunately, due to the current funding position with regards to the Integrated Advocacy service, it is with regret that as of Friday 11th March 2016 we will not be able to take any further referrals in to the service. This includes self-referrals. The service will cease operation on 31st May 2016.

We are continuing to support our current service users to ensure that we work towards a planned conclusion of our support by 31st May.  We will provide all service users with appropriate information in order for them to obtain further support from alternative sources should they wish to do so.

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all who have supported the Integrated Advocacy service over the last 4 years which has enabled us to provide much needed support for patients in resolving social issues impacting their health and wellbeing.

Integrated Advocacy Evaluation Report

In 2014, Independent Lives commissioned Frameworks 4 Change to carry out an independent evaluation of the Integrated Advocacy pilot project.

The evaluation showcases the innovative co-location model and analyses how the service has improved GP practice team and patient outcomes.

It highlights that our service improves the health and social wellbeing of patients and provides a cost-effective solution to social issues being presented to GPs.

The exciting evalution can be read by following this link.
