Get involved in community gardening

11/15/17 updated 11/16/17 by David Streeter

Independent Lives has partnered with Breathing Spaces to offer you the chance to get involved in community gardening.

If you like the idea of growing flowers, herbs, fruit, and vegetables with other people, in a supportive and social group, this is the perfect opportunity.

You can work at your own pace, sitting down or standing, and there is always time for a cuppa and a chat.

There are groups throughout the week you can get involved in:

  • The Mind and Memory Garden, Sidney Walter Centre BN11 1DS – every Friday 10:30-11:30, £7 per session
  • The Welcome Woodland Garden, Maybridge Keystone Centre BN12 6JD – every Tuesday 10:30-13:30, £23 per session (includes lunch)
  • May Close Community Allotment, May Close, Goring-by-Sea BN12 6HW – every Friday 14:00-16:00, free (this location is not wheelchair accessible)

To find out more please call Claire Hunt on 07508 178590, or Lisa Leach on 07827 924151.
