Speaking up for Disability
The Speaking up for Disability project explored the hidden histories of disabled people including
experiences of early life, school, work, families, the views of
health professionals, and how relationships have altered.
The project’s volunteer interviewers worked with a range of disabled people to record their views and experiences, building up a unique archive of first-hand accounts.
The project has now finished and these records are in the West Sussex Records Office at County Hall Chichester, creating a lasting legacy for future researchers, professionals and the general public.
