Summary

We’re looking for cover support worker to provide care for an easy going and happy gentleman whom when a relationship has been built happy and chatty.

Tasks will include 

Showering

Support with food and drink

Having a natter

Medication training for prompting at the times of day when medication is required (medication will be organised into a tablet dispenser)

Support to apply creams

General housework and ensuring a clean environment is kept

 

Hours/Shifts

Bank casual hours available to cover sickness and holiday

Cover required for 21 hours a week 

Other Requirements

Must be comfortable with pets

All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

 

Description

Nature of the work:

To provide support with personal care and general domestic assistance around the house. Also to provide social support with a chat and a cup of tea. 

Typical duties

Domestic -    

General housework, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming. 

Personal Care:

showering – towelling dry/ drying hair

Supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required

Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required

Assistance with applying cream

Help with dispensing tablets  

Assistance with medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets

Social:          

Having a chat and a cup of tea.

The successful applicant will be:

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
