Personal Assistant/ Support Worker LR6502
£9.50 per hour
PA/Support Worker required to support my very active 6 year old son who has autism, and is non verbal.
• Duties include some personal care, and engaging my son in various activities in the community, such as swimming and keeping him safe.
• Applications considered on a job share basis.
5 hours per weekend either Saturday or Sunday
*Sch. 9 s. 1 (1) Equality Act 2010 applies
Must have a UK driving licence
Must have access to own vehicle
All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
About the employer:
I am a mother to my 6 year old son who has autism and is non-verbal. He is very active and likes routine. He is a happy boy who likes swimming and going for walks.
Nature of the work:
I am looking for a kind and compassionate PA to engage my son in activities he enjoys in the community and keeping him safe. Experience of dealing with children with autism and a driving licence and car is preferable.
My son may require assistance with personal care tasks when necessary
Supervise my son when he uses the toilet to ensure he and his environment are clean and hygienic.
Helping my son to get dressed and undressed when needed eg when going swimming.
Accompanying my son and keep him safe when accessing social and leisure activities, including swimming and other activities he enjoys.
The successful applicant will be:

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
