Description Typical duties Domestic - Preparing/cooking meals. Clearing and tidying up afterwards if required. Cleaning/tidying the bathroom Making bed and changing it if necessary. Laundry, washing or ironing clothes as required Other reasonable domestic tasks as required Personal Care: Assistance with bathing, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required Assistance with dressing/undressing as required Lifting with use of a hoist will be necessary Assisting with toileting needs. Administering medication as necessary Helping with other aspects of personal care as required Social: Accompanying and assisting my son on social activities and any other social task required. Person specification The successful applicant will be: Be cheerful and positive Be reliable with good timekeeping Be able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative Be flexible- to occasionally cover other days in the week if the employer needs to get to an appointment. Be honest and trustworthy Be understanding of the clients disability and sensitive to his needs Be able to learn clients routines and learn to do the job well as the employer/client requires Be able to respect privacy and confidentiality Be fit and healthy enough to undertake the tasks required Be legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
