Job Title: Bank Personal Assistant
Location: West Croydon/ Thornton Heath area, near Windmill Road
Hourly rate: £9.50

Hours/shifts: Bank PA to cover 5 hours per week. 1 hour each morning Monday to Friday when regular PA is on leave

Summary
At home I enjoy listening to music, watching television and reading a range of text from healthy living and financial articles to motivational and inspirational books. When away from home I like to eat out and spend time at the park and enjoying nature. I also attend some local support groups.
I’m a family person, my family and faith is very important to me. I need help with some basic tasks at home and the best person to help me would be patient and calm, positive and uplifting. Also, someone who can act on their own initiative and be adaptable depending on my health each day.
An employment contract, paid holiday and training will be provided. This is a key worker role which could compliment an income support claim as it’s below the earnings limit.
Location is well accessed by public transport and there is some off road, free parking available.

Other Requirements

• Must be comfortable with cats
• Non-smoker preferred or someone who is willing to refrain from smoking during work hours.

Description
Typical duties

Domestic
Helping with laundry - un/loading washing machine, hanging to dry, folding, putting away
Cleaning the bathroom after use
Helping prepare breakfast for me and meal prep
Cleaning kitchen after use
Light domestic tasks e.g. sweeping


Personal Care:
• Helping with bathing/showering – washing difficult to reach areas (back, feet etc.)
• Helping to wash and dry hair, braid into simple plate
• Assistance with applying cream
• Some assistance with un/dressing.

Social:
Assistance with shopping e.g. going to the shop with me or pick up shopping for me. I can drive us in my mobility car or travel in your vehicle if preferred.

 Person specification
The successful applicant will be:
• Female* due to personal care needs

• Reliable with good time-keeping
• Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
• Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
• Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Honest and uplifting
• Use own initiative
• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
