Job Title: BSL Qualified Personal Assistant
Location: Horsham
Hourly rate: £17 per hour
Reference: DP1272
Hours/shifts: Flexible weekly and weekend hours available. Minimum 5 hours per week

Summary

• I am a profoundly deaf young man who is dependent on British Sign Language as a way of communicating.
• I also have Aspergers which can make life very challenging for me and people around me.
• I am looking for a reliable and confident PA who is qualified in British Sign Language to help me improve my English and Maths at home. It would be helpful if you were skilled in these areas to help me.
• I especially require support with learning how to write and send a text message and with preparing for my driving theory test.
• I also require support with any other task that will help me to retain my independence for example assisting me shopping so I can be as independent as possible.
• You will also work alongside my other PA on occasions.
There is an opportunity to explore remote working via Zoom/the internet.

Other Requirements 

• BSL essential.
• Must have a UK driving licence

Qualified in British Sign Language

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
