Summary • I am a 28 year old woman with severe Attention Deficit Disorder, mild Asperger’s Syndrome and OCD, looking to employ a Care and Personal Development Assistant. I need support to organise myself, manage my life and create clear routines.• I am looking for a PA to support and develop my time management and organisational skills, helping me to plan day to day routines, assist me with general day to day tasks and getting out into the local community. This would include occasionally accompanying me on days out or going for long walks. • I am looking to have support for longer term planning and support with steps towards independence. Whilst day to day support is very important to me, planning my future and building up skills to help me become independent is also a crucial part of this role. • Much of the support I will need will be to teach me to become more independent and able to carry out daily living skills. This would include learning to cook and developing good paperwork habits. I have my own allotment and garden space and would love someone to assist me in planning, organising and supporting me to grow my own fruit and veg.• I am also looking for someone who will be able to take into account me and my family’s OCD needs and to support me to navigate this during day to day tasks.• An ideal candidate would be someone highly organised with a methodical approach and proficient managerial skills so you have the ability to motivate me to achieve. It would be helpful for you to have experience in managing change, and supporting people to manage changes to their routines and plans; both changes that are planned and unexpected changes. Person specificationThe successful applicant will be:Experience of supporting adults with Attention Deficit Disorder or who have Asperger’s Syndrome is preferred but this is not as essential as having empathy and an ability to develop an understanding of my conditions and how they affect me.
