Weekends and weekday evenings

4-5 hours weekends

2hours on weekdays variable



Carer/carers needed for a lively 12 year old boy who loves Lego and happy 14 year old girl who loves cartoons.

Experience with global development delay and feeding by PEG tube would be an advantage but full training can be provided.

Personal care will also be required.

This will be a challenging but rewarding role for the right person.

Other Requirements       

  • A UK driving licence and access to own vehicle would be preferred.         


All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.


Typical duties

Domestic -       

General cleaning

Keeping surfaces hygienic

General housework, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming.

Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.

Chopping vegetables




Personal Care: 

  • Washing and bathing/showering – towelling dry/ drying hair
  • Supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required
  • Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required
  • Assistance with applying cream
  • Nappy changing
  • Teeth brushing
  • Cleaning of hands and face
  • General hair/skin care
  • Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
  • Getting into bed
  • Assistance with getting out of bed using a hoist
  • Help with dispensing tablets
  • Assistance with medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets
  • Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')
  • Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat
  • Physiotherapy exercises


  • Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
  • Accompanying employer to doctors/hospital appointments when required
  • The above duties will involve driving the employer in the PA’s car (on rare occasions), lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car, pushing the wheelchair when out.

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
