Clinical training

Do you have complex healthcare needs and would like your personal assistant to undertake clinical tasks?

Independent Lives provides clinical training in your own home. We will work with you, your PA or team of support workers, and a fully qualified community clinician trainer. This service is a Guardian Public Service Award winner.

We offer clinical training in the following areas so your PA can undertake these tasks, rather than a clinician:

  • Tracheostomy care

  • Respiratory care  (observations, suctioning, oxygen support)

  • Enteral feeding

  • Elimination support (including suppositories if needed)

    We offer two options:
  • Option 1. Your PA/Care Support Worker can attend the theory session at the classroom at Independent Lives and then the competency sign off is completed in the customers home/care setting
  • Option 2. Our health care trainer completes both the theory and competency sign off in the customers home/care setting

Please note: All materials are included in the price however, travel expenses & time are in addition to the prices listed below.

Pricing

Option 1. Health care theory - classroom

£70 per person (plus VAT if applicable)

Option 1. Health care sign off

£100 per person (plus VAT if applicable)

Option 2. Health care trainer rate – in the home

£300 1 x person (2 Hrs) (plus VAT if applicable)

£600 2 x people (4 Hrs) (plus VAT if applicable)
