Support Service Team Leader

Salary: £31,626 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday starting at 8am

Type of contract: Permanent 

Location: The role is office based in Worthing, with occasional travel required around West Sussex and Croydon

Reporting to: Head of Direct Payments and Personalisation

The overall purpose of the role is to oversee the day-to-day delivery of Independent Lives’ Information & Advice team who offer information, advice, support and training to Direct Payments employers and personal assistants by telephone. Ensuring that the service meets the highest quality standards. 

Overview

  • Manage Direct Payments referral and allocation processes ensuring an efficient and inclusive service is delivered
  • Deliver effective line management and supervision of staff, including performance management and personal development
  • Liaise with disabled people, health & social care staff, and the general public within an engagement, support and promotional programme
  • Oversee data monitoring, processes, workflows and reporting

Care Coordinator 

Salary: £22,958 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week, between 7am and 2.30pm over five days including one weekend day

Type of contract: Permanent 

Location: Worthing, West Sussex with occasional travel required around West Sussex

Reporting to: Quality and Coordination Lead

The overall purpose of the role is to ensure that the Independent Lives care service is coordinated effectively to meet the needs of all customer care packages and provide a good quality service to its users, enabling our customers to live independently with choice and control in their own home.

Engagement Officer

Salary: £26,238 per annum (pro rata)

Hours: 21 hours per week

Location: The role is office based in Worthing, with regular travel required around West Sussex, Croydon and other areas as required

Reporting to: Communication and Engagement Lead

Working within the communications and engagement team, the engagement officer will be responsible for ensuring that disabled people and people with health and care needs have a voice and are central to the work undertaken by Independent Lives.

This exciting new role will be perfect for someone who truly believes in the value of lived experience and co-production, and who loves working closely with people.

Wellbeing and Development Officer

Salary: £22,958 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week between 8am – 6pm

Type of contract: Permanent 

Location: The role is office based in Worthing, occasional travel within the West Sussex and surrounding areas.

Reporting to: Head of Care

The overall purpose of this role is to deliver effective supervision, support and coaching to Independent Lives field staff. The post holder will ensure that staff wellbeing is monitored and maintained, and that high-quality person centred care is being delivered.

Overview

  • Ensuring the effective supervision of staff, including performance management and professional development
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members
  • Develop innovative ways to encourage staff engagement in line with our organisational values
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and work alongside the co-ordination team to book meetings with minimal impact on service delivery
