Job Title: Female Carer

Hourly rate: £9.20

Hours/shifts: Tuesdays 9am – 1pm weekly


Carer required with honest and flexible attitude, must be female as will need to assist with all personal care needs. Will also need to assist client in accessing the community, with social activities, meeting with friends in the home and outside.
Car driver essential for this role as will need to also drive client’s vehicle (van) to access the community, if needed.

• I am a 50 year old lady with Cerebral Palsy.
• I need support with accessing Social and Leisure activities
• I may require support and accompaniment to medical or other appointments
• I am bubbly and enjoy swimming, cafes, shopping and general social activities
• Probationary period, is 6 months.
• This is a rewarding role with all professional training provided……
• I have non- seizure epilepsy, which is stress related, though these episodes are not regular.

Other Requirements 
• "Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9."
• Must be willing to cover sickness and holiday cover.
• Non smoker required due to medical reasons
• Must have a UK driving licence
• Must have access to own vehicle
All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Typical duties -
Prompt with medication.
Washing and dressing (all personal care needs) to include showering and hair washing.
Cleaning duties as required.
Meal preparation.
All reasonable tasks as required.

Personal Care:
Washing, Showering- towelling dry
Supervision and assistance with Showering, Drying, Hair Wash, Brushing
Assistance with applying cream
General Hair and Skin Care
Assistance with walking to the Toilet
Dressing and Undressing
Getting in and out of Bed
Help with Dispensing Medication
Assistance with medication ie, helping to talk tablets out the foil/packets
Helping with any other aspects of personal care required
Assistance with getting in and out of wheelchair (transferring)
Mealtime: Preparing food, cutting food up

The successful applicant will be:

• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
