DescriptionTypical duties Domestic - Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting awayLoading and unloading the washing machineLoading and unloading tumble dryer/washing lineChanging bed linenBed makingGeneral cleaning General housework, including cleaning, dusting and Preparing drinks, snacks and meals. TidyingCorrespondence e.g. reading letters, help writing replies, form-filling, assisting with household paperworkMaking phone calls on my behalf when I am too unwell to do thisMaking tea for the employer's guests This is a list of tasks you may be required to do but would not be expected to do all of this per shift. Personal Care: • Washing and bathing/showering – towelling dry/ drying hair• Supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required• Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required • Assistance with applying cream• General hair/skin care • Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings• Getting into bed • Help with dispensing tablets • Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring') • Physiotherapy exercises This is a list of tasks you may be required to do but would not be expected to do all of this per shift. Social: • Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required • Accompanying employer to doctors/hospital appointments when required• Accompanying when clothes-buying, including help with un/dressing and lifting clothes on/off the rails. • The above duties will involve driving the employer in the employers car, lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car, pushing the employer’s wheelchair when out. • Whilst on duty at the employer’s home watching TV and assisting with craft activities• Lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car, pushing the employer’s manual wheelchair when out.
