Hours/shifts: 14 hours per week. Tuesday 5hrs, Wednesday 5hrs and Friday 4 hrs.
I am a 28 year old quadriplegic man looking for one or more PA’s to assist me in my personal care needs and provide a live in carer with mandatory rest breaks. 
 I have a great sense of humour and enjoy swimming and travelling.  Although I have limited speech, I can communicate well and use signs and technology called EyeGaze to help me communicate.
My physical disability requires me using a hoist and I have an electric wheelchair which I can drive with supervision.
This is a rewarding role with all professional training provided. The use of EyeGaze and NeaterEater technology, will mean being happy with IT or happy to learn.
PA will report to a family member who is also the employer.

Typical duties
Domestic -  
Laundry, emptying washing machine and hanging out to dry when required.
General housework including cleaning when required.
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
General Tidying when required.
Personal Care:  
Support to wash and shower and to ensure bathroom is left clean and tidy each time.
Support to dress and undress only when required.
Using the toilet, subsequent showering when necessary and ensuring the room is left clean and tidy. 
Preparing vegetarian meals, (Support offered to provide recipes).
Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat and drink, using a NeaterEater, if requested. Cleaning up after mealtimes.
Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example cutting nails and applying sun lotion.
Hoisting is required for all personal assistance. Training will be provided.
Using the hoist to get in and out of the wheelchair. 

Take part in social activities including watching a film, playing a game such as dominoes and listening to music.

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach is needed in the role.
