To care for lady patient with assistance from main carer who is also the husband. To provide respite care for lady patient with assistance from family carer. To assist patient with all aspects of daily personal care, including transfers, dressing, toileting & personal hygiene, preparing & feeding lunch. Description Typical duties Domestic To tidy bathroom, bedroom & kitchen after use. Personal Care Washing and bathing/showering – towelling dry/ drying hair Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required Assistance with applying cream General hair/skin care Using the toilet Dressing and undressing Assistance with getting out of bed using a hoist Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat Person specification The successful applicant will be: The successful applicant will be someone of a kind patient & caring nature able to communicate and work alongside the client’s family members, ideally with previous caring experience in all areas including hoisting & transfers, showering and dressing on a hospital bed with slide sheets and feeding.
