Summary

The 15 year old girl, loves her music, loves a bit of gossip and would like someone that she can relate to and shares interests.

  • The girl has a chronic lung condition and will require chest physio and suctioning when I am unwell. Training will be provided.
  • The girl is also wheelchair user and can walk assisted. The girl has a gastrostomy and is fed through a tube.
  • Experience of working with young people with additional needs preferable
  • You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness for this role
  • We are looking for someone who is likeminded and share similar interests to our daughter
  • These hours would be used to support my daughter to access after school activities

Other Requirements

  • "Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9."
  • UK driving licence desirable but not essential
  • Own Vehicle desirable but not essential

Typical duties

Domestic -       

 

Supervision and/or assistance with washing, showering, drying,

Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required

Assistance to get on and off the toilet on occasions.

Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings

Getting into bed

Assistance with medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets- irregular occurrence

Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting employer to get changed in swimming pool

Personal Care:

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
