Hours/shifts: Nights: Suns, Tues, 22:00 till 07:30 & Sat 0:00 till 09:30.

Summary

• I am a lively disabled woman with quadriplegic Athetoid Cerebral Palsy and speech impairment.
• Due to my condition require the use of an electric wheelchair to enable me to live my life to the full.
• I need assistance with all aspects of my personal care at all times.
• The job is varied as I live a full and busy life.
• I am looking for people who are flexible (when needed), non-judgemental, able to be appropriately professional in a more formal environment and able to support me to live my life exactly how I choose.
• The job can be hard at times, but also with the element of fun.

Must be comfortable with pets
All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Experience of hoisting/manual handling essential
• Preparation of food and drink when required
• Assisting me with eating and drinking
• Supporting me to access my technology, computer and environmental

• Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Be able to speak and understand English to a good standard due to speech difficulties
• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
• Previous experience is not essential but will be an advantage
• Female.
• Driver.

• Some care experience.
• Flexible.
• Able to work long hours.
• Don’t mind covering holidays or sickness.
• Like pets.
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
