Job Title: Female* Personal Care Assistant

Location: Lymington, Hampshire           

Hourly rate: £10.20 per hour

Hours/shifts: Monday & Friday: 3 hours e.g. 9am to 12pm

Wednesday 7.30 am to 8.30 am

These shifts are for 2 PAs to job share; you must be flexible to provide cover for PA holiday and sickness.

I can be flexible with the start time of both shifts on Monday and Friday.

Person specification

The successful applicant will be: 

  • Be able to learn and understand the disabled person’s needs
  • Be female as personal care is involved
  • Be honest and trustworthy
  • Be cheerful and well-motivated with a good sense of humour
  • Be reliable with excellent timekeeping
  • Be able to work flexibly and provide cover
  • Be able to respect privacy and confidentiality
  • Be able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Be able to work to high standards of hygiene and health and safety
  • Refrain from smoking while at work
  • Be willing to be police checked (enhanced DBS). Please note that a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining the position
  • Be legally allowed to work in the UK
  • Be comfortable working in a home with pets; I have a cat and a small dog
  • Knowledge or experience of providing care to an adult with disabilities is preferred but not essential
