Summary:
Our mum was the head of a very close-knit family; She now has Alzheimer’s and struggles with communication and physical movement. She understands the tone and feeling of people’s voices and responds really well to positive interactions and praise. Back in her day, she was the brightest spark and loved Chemistry. She was a voracious reader, loved her garden, arts, and crafts and was very hands on with the DIY including tiling, paving, and laying floors. Everything she did she did it to perfection.
We are looking for carers with incredible patience to help mum with personal care tasks, a few domestic tasks but most importantly to help her get the value of each day as her needs change.
She needs someone who comes in smiling and has laughter in their voice. This someone will not only fulfil her basic needs but will be able to take the time to talk with her and see things from her point of view and ensure she is given the dignity and respect she deserves.
