Job Title: Female Personal Care/Support Worker
Location: Wisborough Green         
Hourly rate:  £9.50 Weekdays, evenings £10.20, £10.45weekends
Reference: DP2285           
Hours/shifts: 1.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. I hour Saturday. 1.5 hours weds and Thursday evening

• I am lady, with a disability, living in Wisborough Green. 
• I am looking for a reliable and friendly personal assistants.  Tasks include housework, simple meal preparation and some personal care.
• I am a happy, easy going employer, the work place is a family environment and we are very welcoming. We provide a fun environment to work in.
• We do live in a fairly remote area so driving your own car would be an advantage.

Other Requirements
• "Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9."  
 • UK driving licence desirable but not essential 
• Access to own vehicle desirable but not essential 
All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Typical duties
General cleaning up after meals / snacks
Light housework, including dusting and vacuuming on occasions
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals
Shopping for a few items such as bread & milk
Tidying on occasions
Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
Helping with laundry, washing and drying
Loading and unloading the washing machine, Loading and unloading washing line
Changing bed linen, 
Bed making, 
General cleaning
Taking out rubbish, 
General housework, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping.
Minor household maintenance eg. changing light bulbs, taking down curtains for washing
Helping to keep my equipment clean and in good condition
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Help in the garden
Correspondence  form-filling, assisting with household paperwork
Making phone calls on my behalf when I am too unwell to do this
Making tea for the employer's guests

Personal Care
Supervision and/or assistance with washing, showering, drying,
Help getting into and out shower as required
Assistance to get on and off the toilet on occasions.
Assistance with medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets

Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
Any other reasonable task

Person specification
The successful applicant will be:
Female * due to personal care needs 
Respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality
Reliable with good time-keeping
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
