Hours/Shifts

Usual hours will be:

Monday: 4pm to 7pm

Saturday: 11am to 2pm

Days and hours may occasional  change by agreement.

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Typical duties

Domestic -       

  • Preparing drinks as required

One to One Support:   

  • Assist client to become more independent and improve her self esteem
  • Encourage/explain to client to understand the importance of personal hygiene 
  • To help client understand what is appropriate behavior around others
  • Build up a rapport with client
  • Assist client to become more independent and improve her self esteem

Social:             

  • Join in with activities such as drawing and writing
  • Accompany client to access the local park 
  • Accompany client to access clubs and other activities she enjoys
  • To provide family with a few hours respite each week
  • To carry out all tasks while ensuring the health & safety of the employer, the employee and others. 

Person specification

  • Respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with excellent time-keeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
  • Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
  • The ability to speak Mandarin would be an advantage but this is not essential.
  • Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
