Job Title: Female Social Support Worker

Location:   Basingstoke         

Hourly rate:    £8-10 per hour depending on experience

Hours/shifts: Mornings, after school, evening, weekend & school holiday hours available


Child with complex health needs requires support 24/7 with all aspects of daily living and accessing the community. Enjoys singing, interactive stories, walks, accessing events in the community & hydro therapy.

Other Requirements

Must have a UK driving licence   

Must have access to own vehicle

All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.


Typical duties

  • Domestic tasks: Laundry: Loading and unloading the washing machine / tumble dryer / washing line/Changing bed linen / making the bed/General cleaning/Taking out rubbish/

  • Social activities:
    Accompanying during social and leisure activities/Accompanying during doctors / hospital appointments/Accompanying on trips out/Driving and accompanying to social events / activities/Assist you with getting in / out of the car/Assist you with getting equipment in / out of car/Push a manual wheelchair/
  • Person specification

The successful applicant will be:

  • Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills

  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
  • Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
  • Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
