Female personal assistant required to provide additional support for a 22 year old young lady with profound and multiple learning difficulties and epilepsy.


The role is based in Angmering, where you will meet the young lady at her family home and together with her lead PA, accompany her in her own vehicle to a day care/life skills centre at Chailey from 10am until 4pm. You will arrive back in Angmering at approximately 5pm.


Primarily key responsibilities will include, assisting with personal care including eating and drinking. Supporting during swimming, spa and gym sessions, transfers, aided walking and support and following a physiotherapy programme. You  may also be required to provide assistance in other activities such as arts/crafts/IT/cooking sessions as needed.


On occasions when ill health or day care closures or holiday dates occur, support will be required at the home address in Angmering to facilitate various activities and access the local community.


Experience not essential as full training will be provided, however a positive and cheerful personality is required as the young lady enjoys an upbeat atmosphere. Also, a driving licence is not essential for this position.

  • Prefer non smoker as day centre is a non smoking site

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
