Driving and accompanying to social events and activities Personal Care required at times Duties Thursday and Friday would include giving my daughter her breakfast and medication, then sitting with her until her transport arrives to take her to her day provisions. Monday and Tuesday will involve, breakfast, medication, driving my daughter in our vehicle to Chailey, supporting her with activities there, personal care and lunch Must be able to work the regular Thursdays and Fridays or just Fridays and be able to drive a manual car. Description Typical duties Personal Care: Help with dispensing tablets (medication) Assistance with taking other medication Helping with other aspects of personal care as required (i.e assisting getting changed at swimming pool). Assistance getting in / out of wheelchair (transferring) Assistance at mealtimes: cutting up food / assistance to eat / drink/Assistance with physiotherapy exercises/ Social: Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities, including to swimming Accompanying to social meetings eg friends, family The above duties will involve driving the employer in the PA’s car, lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car, pushing the employer’s wheelchair when out. Alternatively, I would use my walking stick. Lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car, pushing the employer’s manual wheelchair when out.
