Job Title: Female Support Worker/Personal Care Assistant

Hours/shifts: 3 hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, times to be arranged

• I am a 35 year old lady with primary, progressive MS, ADHD and OCD
• I live with my Dad and cat in Worthing
• I am positive and sociable with a good sense of humour
• I enjoy seeing friends, socialising, getting out and about, travelling, keeping active, meeting new people and trying new things
• I have difficulty with mobilising and use a wheelchair outside
• I mainly need support with household chores including cleaning, tidying, accessing community activities and going to appointments.
• Occasional assistance with getting dressed will also be needed
• You must be a driver with your own car
• You should also be able to lift and push a wheelchair
• I am looking for a friendly, sociable, reliable PA.

Other Requirements

Typical duties

Domestic - 
Changing bed linen and making bed
Hanging up washing
Watering plants
General housework, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming.
Putting shopping away when required

Personal Care: 
• Assistance with dressing e.g. pulling up trousers, when required

• Accompanying and assisting employer to go to the MS Centre in Southwick and rehab gym.
• Accompanying employer to go to medical and other appointments when required
• You would be required to drive the employer in your car
• The above duties will involve driving the employer in your car, lifting the wheelchair in/out of car, pushing the employer’s wheelchair when out.

• A driver with own car
• Comfortable with cats

• Reliable with good time-keeping
• Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative

• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
• Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
