Hours/shifts:   Approx. 1000am-2.30pm on Wednesday, 10.00am-1.00pm  on Saturday and 10.00am-1.00pm on Sunday.  Could be a job share so please apply for the shifts you are interested in. 
Summary 
•  I am a 36 year old lady living in Southwick with my children. 
• I am looking for Arabic-speaking female Support Workers, as I have very little English, to assist me with independent living tasks. 
• I have epileptic seizures, diabetes, anxiety and am at risk of falls. 
• Duties will include keeping me company, supporting me with showering, cooking, cleaning/domestic tasks, shopping, collecting the children from school. 
• You should be friendly, reliable, trustworthy and flexible. 
• Experience of epilepsy and providing support/care would be useful.
• I require a driver with their own car. 
Other Requirements 
• "Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9."  
• Must have a UK driving licence 
• Must have access to own vehicle

Typical duties
Domestic -        
Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
Helping with laundry, washing and drying
Loading and unloading the washing machine
Loading and unloading tumble dryer/washing line
Changing bed linen
Bed making
General cleaning
Taking out rubbish
General housework, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming.
Preparing/cooking snacks and meals, preparing drinks
Personal Care:  
• Supervision and/or assistance with showering
• Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required
• To be on call when employer has a shower/bathes in case of a fall
Social:        
• Keeping employer company, chatting, socialising
• Assisting with shopping
• Picking children up from school when employer unwell
• Driving the employer and children in your car
 Person specification
The successful applicant will be:      
• Able to speak/understand Arabic to communicate with the employer
• Female* due to personal care needs
• A driver with own car
• Respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality
• Reliable with good time-keeping
• Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
• Hygienic and well organised
• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
• Patient and understanding
• Friendly, trustworthy and flexible
• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
