Weekend Night Shift £96Weekday £9.50p/h and Weekday Night Shift: £94 Reference: CZ6824 Hours/shifts: Early 8am-2pm, late 2pm – 8pm, night 8pm – 8am Summary • We are looking for someone with experience within the care sector, preferably experienced with challenging behaviours. • To work with one lady in her own home.• You should be reliable, enthusiastic, upbeat, & with a positive outlook.• Ideally gentle but firm nature, understanding, warm and friendly, have good attention to detail • You will mainly be working on a one to one basis, but you must be a good team player.• Ideally a car owner, but this is not essential.• Please only apply if you are genuinely interested in Weekend Work.• There can be flexibility within the following shift patterns and not every weekend will be required, but it will be at least one Saturday and Sunday every other week...• There is also the opportunity to potentially work weekday shifts covering other carers annual leave/sickness and maternity leave later in the year (November time). DescriptionTypical duties Domestic - Full up keep of 3 bedroom bungalow including, hoovering, polishing, sweeping and mopping of floors, laundry, ironing, garden maintenance, (mowing lawns/weeding-helpful, but not essential!) cooking. Personal Care: Full personal care including, full body wash, menstrual cycle care, continence pads, wet shave, hair washing daily, skin care with creams and lotions. Social: To make sure all health care appointments are attended including doctors, dentists, clinical psychologist, eye test and blood test. Also to support the person with their social needs, personal shopping, walk along the beach, day out on a booked activity, to assist researching a meaningful activity and access the community to do activity. Person specificationThe successful applicant will be: • Female * due to personal care needs • Respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality• Reliable with good time-keeping• Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative• Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties• Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills• Honest and cheerful• Creative• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & SafetyPrevious experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
