This role is to support our elderly mother with daily living tasks including personal care, domestic duties, grocery shopping and meal preparation.
Our mum is strong willed and continues to know her own mind however, her strength and body are failing. She lived an active life, working as a secretary and volunteering for a number of medical fund groups as well as setting up a bowls club at the heart of the local community. She would be best suited to someone who has also experienced life and understands how the aging mind works, not getting rattled by early onset dementia and at times, challenging language. She would benefit from interaction and stimulation from conversation and engaging activities to improve her quality of life. She enjoys playing cards and games, doing jigsaw puzzles, hobby crafts and watching television.
Her small dog is currently living with a family member but visits regularly so a dog lover would be beneficial.
