Job Title: Live in Personal Care Assistant
Location: Worthing
Salary rate: £900 per week (Average Daily Hours 14)

Hours/shifts: 1 week in every 4 weeks

I am a gentleman in my fifties looking for a PA to provide Live in care. Help will be required with all aspects of personal care, domestic support and accessing the community.
You will be required to provide 1 weeks live in care in every 4 weeks and some holiday and sickness cover when needed.
You should have a very good level of spoken English so I can easily communicate my needs to you as this is something I sometimes find difficult.

Other Requirements
All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Typical duties

Domestic -
Laundry: washing, hanging out to dry, ironing and putting away
Changing bed linen and making the bed
Taking out rubbish
General housework, including cleaning, tidying, dusting and vacuuming.
Minor household maintenance e.g. changing light bulbs, taking down curtains for washing
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Correspondence e.g. reading letters, help writing replies, form-filling, assisting with household paperwork
Making tea for the employer's guests

Personal Care:
• Supervision and some assistance with showering and towel drying when required
• Help getting in and out of the shower when required
• Assistance with skin care e.g. applying cream
• Help with dressing and undressing
• Support with buttons and fastenings
• Assistance with getting in and out of bed using a hoist
• Assistance with medication e.g helping to take tablets from foil/packets
• Mealtimes e.g. preparing food and cutting up food in to smaller pieces.
• Support with feeding on occasion.

• Accompanying and assisting me to attend appointments, e.g. Chiropodist, GP and dentist
• Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities.

The successful applicant will be:

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
