Job Title: Male Personal Assistant

Rate of pay: Salary around 28,000 per annum depending on experience

Hours/shifts: 5 days on then have 9 days rest (fortnightly pattern), including sleep-ins with a two hour daily break. This works out as a 60 hour average per week.

Summary
I am looking for a forward thinking and self-motivated individual to join my team of personal assistants. I am 22 years old and graduated from the University of Sussex last year with a first-class honour’s degree in law. I am currently working from home, but my usual place of work is Westminster and am advertising for a like-minded and driven individual to assist me in all aspects of my life including going to work and socialising.

It is not all work. I am a keen football fan and play power chair football in the highest division in England with three league titles and counting. I have also represented England in a World Cup (Florida) and European Championships (Finland) being capped 7 times. I also enjoy festivals with this year being my first in five of not going to Reading. When traveling last year, I visited 14 European cities including Paris for a festival.

Description
Typical duties

Work:
Note taking in meetings,
Scribing emails and reports
Travelling by train to London
Accompany me on work duties in the UK and abroad.
To sign an enhanced confidentially agreement.


Personal Care:
• Support with bathing/ washing hair
• Preparation of my evening meal (cutting up food)
• Dressing/ undressing
• Assistance with using the toilet
• Transferring to and from my wheelchair
• Use of hoist in the household
• Helping me change for the gym/swimming

Social:
• To drive my mobility car if and when needed
• Accompany me to Power Chair football
• Accompany me to the Gym/ Swimming
• Accompany me to leisure and social activities
• Accompany me on longer trips when required

Previous experience in care is not essential, but a high level of understanding around the work tasks required is Imperative.
