Get into the Christmas spirit with Independent Lives, and join us in taking part in our festive fun this December.

Without further ado, let’s get into everything that’s taking place!

Santa Dash

On Saturday 11 December, a group of fantastic Independent Lives staff and friends will be walking, running, and wheeling their way along Brighton seafront in the annual Santa Dash. Their Santa costumes are picked out, and they’re ready to raise money for Independent Lives.

They are raising money to support our work in making the world a fairer place for those with disabilities, so please give generously if you are able. You can find a link below taking you to the donation page.

Head over to Brighton at 10am on 11 December to cheer everyone on! πŸŽ…πŸ€ΆπŸŽ…

Christmas choir sing-along

Next up is our Christmas choir sing-along, taking place from 10am until 11am on Sunday 19 December at Montague Place in Worthing Town Centre. The fantastic folks from Broadwater Community Choir have volunteered an hour of their time to host a jubilant hour of Christmas sing-along.

Take a break from your Christmas shopping, grab yourself a hot chocolate, and come and relax with us!

Christmas tree trail

If you have walked through Worthing town centre recently, you may have spotted a very special Christmas tree sporting a particularly festive hat and beard. This year, we have our very own tree towards the West end of Montague Street, as a part of the Worthing Christmas tree trail.

Head down to visit our tree, take a selfie, and tag us on social media to be entered into a draw to win a prize. Feel free to tag us on your social media platform of choice: Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. If you are unable to make it to our tree for whatever reason, just take a selfie in front of your own Christmas tree, and you’ll still be entered into our prize draw. One entry per person, entries close on 24 December at 11:59pm.

Finally, please head to the page below and follow the instructions to vote for our Christmas tree to win the trail competition. If we win, we will be using the prize voucher to support our customers in line with our vision to where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfil their potential. Thank you!

This year, Independent Lives has its very own elf, Indey, who will be making an appearance once a day to keep an eye on everyone in the run up to Christmas. Check out our social media pages every morning to see what Indey is getting up to…
