The image shows a group of people dressed in Father Christmas costumes, complete with red hats, jackets, and white beards. They are wearing numbers, suggesting they are participating in a themed fun run or charity race. They're posing for the photo with a backdrop of a classic seaside promenade, identifiable by the white balustrade and shelter, under a clear blue sky. The setting appears to be a bright, sunny day, likely along a coastal area, possibly during a festive season event.

On 10 December, a brave team of Independent Lives staff and friends got into the festive spirit and took part in a 5K run past Hove Lawns – whilst dressed as Santa.

An intrepid team of twelve Santa’s and one dog (all the reindeer were busy) walked, jogged, and ran to raise money for Independent Lives.

Dom Goodeve, Head of Marketing, Communications & Engagement at Independent Lives said:

“A huge thank you to our team of Santa’s, they all did an amazing job walking, jogging and running through a very cold morning. I have never seen so many Santa’s in one place and I think that it is a sight that will stay with me for a long time.

So thank you to Rebecca, Cherry, Max, Paul, Fay, Anita, Nick, Niall and Maria for taking part and we can’t wait to see you all there again next year! Also special thanks to Ziggy the dog, who was not only the best dressed Santa but also helped to pull me over the finish line.”

In total our Santa’s crossed the finish line with over £650, an incredible sum, all thanks to their fantastic effort.

Every penny raised will go toward our vision of creating a fairer society where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

And if you would like to, there’s still time to donate to Independent Lives through our donation page.
