West Sussex County Council are hosting its Adults’ Services staff conference on Monday 24 April at the Avisford Hotel, Arundel.

The event will bring together 250 staff, customers and carers, to celebrate and recognise our achievements, with a strong focus throughout on wellbeing and resilience.

The programme will feature the Leadership Team, the Cabinet Member for Adults’ Services, and the Chief Executive of West Sussex County Council, with an opportunity to ask them questions too. There will also be a keynote speaker who will focus on the theme of wellbeing.

In the afternoon, there will be the chance to attend a choice of workshops.

West Sussex County Council are offering two places to people through Independent Lives.

The conference will run from 9.30am-5.00pm. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day as well as a hot lunch.

We will pay out-of-pocket expenses to support your attendance, for example, travel costs or a for a personal assistant if this would be over and above what is already covered in your care and support plan.

We will offer the conference places on a first come, first served basis.

If you would like to take part in the event  or if you need any further information, please email workingtogetheras@westsussex.gov.uk or call Fung-Yee Hite on 0330 222 8954.
