Job Title: Night Support Worker x2

Hours/shifts: 2 Saturdays and 2 Fridays per month, 7pm-7am. These are Waking nights and could lead to more nights per week

Job Summary:

We are a dynamic Family/Team looking for fit, fun, enthusiastic, friendly, compassionate and dedicated people to join us.

Our lads are wheelchair users with complexed abilities. They are fully dependent on us as a Team to support them with all aspects of personal and physical care, to accompany them to and from Higher Education, support them at home and when they are out and about. Both need pro-active PA’s to support them to achieve their goals and make new ones - Could this be you?

The successful applicant will be issued with an Employment contract, a Job Description and Person Specification and must be willing to undertake online and classroom based mandatory Training, an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check and complete necessary Risk Assessments. You will be entitled to Holiday Pay and must be comfortable around Pets (Cats and Chickens).

Job Description:
Typical duties will include:
Personal Care
• Transferring young lads to and from wheelchairs / bed with use of a hoist
• Supporting young lads with bedtime routine
• Supporting young lads with changing needs as they grow older
• Giving medication (full training given)
• Monitoring both lads
• Any other reasonable task

• Light housework
• Any other reasonable task

• Potentially joining us on evening outings e.g. meals etc

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to this role
