Job Title: PA/Support Worker
Location: Bognor Regis           
Hourly rate: £10 an hour weekdays, £10.50 weekends        
Reference: CZ6986             
Hours/shifts: Mon and Fri 2.30 – 4pm, Tues, Weds, Thurs 1pm – 5pm, Sat and Sun 8am – 2pm. These would ideally be covered by a job share.
Summary 
• I am looking for a patient and enabling person to support my husband with his independent living skills
• He is 50 years old and has suffered a brain injury
• The role is to support him to attend to his personal care providing prompts and reminders so that he is able to regain some of the skills that he has lost.
• It is hoped over time that he will also be able to access some of the social activities he has enjoyed and have opportunities to develop new ones.
• Due to his condition he requires someone to monitor his safety and to be able to provide firm encouragement as needed.

Description
Typical duties
Domestic -        
Changing bed if needed and putting into wash
Tidying around bed and bathroom when used
Personal Care:  
Support and encourage to get out of bed
Prompting with washing
Reminding to use toilet
Monitor when eating and drinking to prevent choking
Social:       
Over time it is hoped that he will be able to access the community and participate in some of the activities he has enjoyed such as pool.
Support to attend day service

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
