Job Title: PA/Support Worker

Hourly rate: £10.50 increasing after probation period

Hours/shifts: Tuesdays for 7 hours

Summary
I am a friendly 40 year old male living in my own flat, I am looking for a patient, positive and proactive person with a good sense of humour to support me in preparing for work on my working days, housework duties, washing and drying clothes, food shopping, attending some appointments, administration/paperwork and phone work. Some washing and household duties on Saturdays.
I the employer; require support by prompting and assisting me to manage and maintain my nutrition, personal hygiene, habitable home, well-being, access and engage in work and to use facilities in the local community.

• Starting rate £10.50 per hour increasing after probationary period
• This is a rewarding role with all professional training provided……

Other Requirements:
• Must be happy to work in a smoking environment (Employer is a light smoker outdoor
only)
• Must have a UK driving licence
• Must have access to own vehicle and fully insured, few public transports to my home
• Will require some Flexibility to work some evenings, on a Thursday or Saturday morning to
cover other PA hours when on holiday/sick.

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Description
Typical duties, Domestic:
General housework, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming.
Minor household maintenance eg changing light bulbs, taking down curtains for washing
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Shopping
Tidying
Correspondence e.g. reading letters, help writing replies, form-filling, assisting with household paperwork
Making phone calls on my behalf

Person specification
The successful applicant will be:
• Female or Male

• Able to work with both employer and family who supports in decision making and care
• Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
• Able to be flexible in covering for other PA
• Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised
• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
• Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Honest, cheerful and trustworthy
• Keep work within employer’s premises and contracted working hours
• Creative, and motivated
• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common-sense approach to these roles.
