Summary • I am looking for a Personal and Social Care Assistant to work at home with my happy and cheerful 8 year old daughter. • She is blind, hearing impaired has global developmental delay and is a wheelchair user. • She loves music, swimming, trampolining and anything involving food. • She enjoys being with people and likes people who are animated and engage her. • The after-school shifts would involve you giving her tea, toileting her, getting her ready for bed and a short activity such as a story. • The daytime school holidays shifts would involve more activity time at home and/or taking her out for a walk or to organised activities.I am happy to consider sharing the shifts between more than one person. Other Requirements • Driving licence is preferred, but not essential, as the role involves going out in holidays• You will need to speak clearly in English to my daughter• Enthusiasm and keenness to engage with my daughter • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties• Willingness to learn basic tactile sign language which we are just starting to use with my daughterAll applicants must undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service checkSuccessful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
