Hours/shifts: 4-6 hours on a Sunday – flexibility during college holidays.
Also looking for someone who would like ad hoc hours.
Summary
I am looking for a PA to be a good role model and buddy for my 17 year old son with Autism and ADHD, to get out of the house and spend some time away from his family.  You will need to support him to develop his independent living skills both in the community and at home.  Experience of working with people with Autism and ADHD would be beneficial but is not essential. 
Other Requirements
• Must have a UK driving licence 
• Must have access to own vehicle and correct insurance.

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Typical duties
Domestic -
When spending time at home, develop his independent living skills by doing basic tasks which could include the following:
Laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
Loading and unloading tumble dryer/washing line
Changing bed linen
Bed making
General cleaning
Taking out rubbish
General housework, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming.
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Shopping
Correspondence e.g. reading letters, help writing replies, form-filling, assisting with household paperwork
Personal Care:
Prompt me to ensure I dress appropriately for the weather.
Social:
• Accompany my son when accessing social and leisure activities, including swimming and going to the gym.
• Accompanying and assisting my son on shopping trips when required.
• Support him to plan the activities and any travel needed.
• Occasional longer journeys.
• Accompanying on trips out eg to the garden centre, beach, cinema, craft fairs, local visits, out shopping for fun, attending social events, attending therapies and disability group.
• Support him in communicating with people in the community.
• The above duties will involve driving my son in your own car, mileage is paid at 40p per mile.  Your car will need to be in good condition and reliable.
• Whilst on duty at the employer’s home watching TV and independence skills like cooking and any other task that is reasonable.

• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
