Job Title: Personal Assistant/Carer
Location: Croydon           
Hourly rate: £10.00 an hour

Hours/shifts: 6 hours a week – 3 hours on Saturday and Sunday. The shifts are 10am – 1pm or 11am -2pm (these shifts must be mutually agreed by the employer).
Extra Hours may be available on weekdays. – This will be mutually agreed.
Summary
• I am a 7 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Day and Autism.
• I am an outgoing and fun loving boy who needs support to access the community.
• I love to go to my local park, go swimming, and I enjoy using public transport (buses, trains and trams etc travel expenses will be available).
• We understand that at this time these activities may need to be changed and adapted. 
• Full training will be given.
• Driver is preferable.
• This is a rewarding role with all professional training provided.

Description
Typical duties
Domestic -       
Tidying my room
Putting my toys away
Making my bed
Hoovering my room
Personal Care:
• Washing and bathing/showering – towelling dry/ drying hair
• Supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required
• Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required
• To be on call when I take a bath
• Using the toilet
• Changing nappies when necessary 
• Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
• Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting me to get changed at swimming pool
• Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')
• Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat
• Physiotherapy exercises

 Social:   
Reading story books with me and help me to read & write.
Accompany me swimming and join me in the pool.
Accompany me to my local park and other public places around the community.
Assist me to take public transport (buses, trains and trams).
Support me to do shopping.
