Job Title: Personal Assistant/Carer
Location: Chichester
Hourly rate: £10
Reference: DP6143
Hours/shifts: 1 Saturday a month overnight – shift time runs from 12pm lunch time until following Sunday at 12pm.

Wednesday or Thursday Afternoons at 3:15pm – 7:15pm

Additional hours will be available during school holidays.

Summary

• My son is 10 years old, has autism, ADHD and is non-verbal. He is a very happy and an energetic boy.
• We are looking for a pa to take him out on walks, swimming etc. and for overnight respite at the PA’s house once a month.

Other Requirements

• Non-smoker preferred or someone who is willing to refrain from smoking during work hours.
• Must have a UK driving licence
• Must have access to own vehicle-mileage paid 25p per mile.

Description
Typical duties

Domestic - 
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
Any other reasonable task

Personal Care:

• Washing and bathing/showering – towelling dry/ drying hair
• Supervision and/or assistance with bathing.
• Assistance with medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets
• Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting employer to get changed at swimming pool.
• Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food
• Any other reasonable task

Social: 
• Supporting with accessing social activities
• Any other reasonable task

The successful applicant will be:

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common-sense approach to these roles.
