Hours/shifts:        minimum 8 hours weekly to be increased after becoming more familiar with client

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
Typical duties
Domestic -        
Loading and unloading the washing machine
Loading and unloading tumble dryer/washing line
Changing bed linen
Bed making
Taking out rubbish
Preparing drinks, snacks and meals

Personal Care:  
Washing and bathing – towelling dry
To be on call when employer takes bath
Assistance with applying cream
Assistance with tooth brushing
General hair/skin care
Cleaning after a bowel movement
Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting employer to get changed at swimming
 Accompany employer to go swimming 
Accompanying on trips to the day care center
 Accompanying to social meetings eg friends, family
 Whilst on duty at the employer’s home watching TV and assisting with craft activities

The successful applicant will be:

• Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
• Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills

• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but it is not essential.
