Job Title: Personal Assistant
Location: Crawley
Hourly rate: £12.50
Reference: DP6188
Hours/shifts: Five hours on Sundays, two hours one day a week after school & five hours every week during school holidays.

Summary

My daughter is 11 years old and has RETT syndrome.

She’s a very happy girl and enjoys a variety of activities including bowling and going to the park. She also loves parties and spending time with her friends and other children, as well as being read to and going swimming whenever she can.

RETT syndrome requires 24 hour care, so we are looking for two PAs. My daughter is non-verbal and cannot walk, so she communicates through her eyes and her emotions, like smiling and crying.

Her care needs are quite profound, so she would need support with things like personal care, dressing and help adding and removing braces she wears due to scoliosis.

She also requires support with suction, PEG feeding and buccal midazolam (in the case of emergencies) as she is epileptic.

If you have experience in these areas, then this is a bonus, but don’t worry if not, as full training will be provided.

This is a rewarding role for the right people and we’re really looking forward to hearing from you!
