Hourly rate: £10.50 per hour daytime, £12.50 per hour waking night and £9 per hour for twilight shift.

Rotas published more than one month in advance
Temporary contract for a minimum of one year

Summary
We are looking for a friendly, respectful and trustworthy PA to support my 29 year old son who, whilst cognitively able, has complex physical disabilities and health needs and requires 2 to 1 support 24 hours per day. Some of his keen interests include Cars, bikes, social media, events, films and Xbox games. You will be joining a well established, supportive care team and will always be working with another member of staff to ensure safety for all. Anyone accepting a job offer will be expected to have had both Covid-19 vaccines.

Typical duties
Domestic -
Food shopping and preparation and delivery of all food -in strict adherence to restricted diet
Strict adherence to expenditure guidelines
To ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the accommodation. This will include general housework e.g. Vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bathroom as well as keeping his space free from clutter.
This will also include laundry of clothing and Bed linen- loading and unloading washing machine/ Dryer and folding and putting away clean washing.

Personal Care:
All aspects of personal care to include;
Feeding
Medication administration
Showering with use of a hoist (we have both and electric and manual hoist)
Dressing and helping with buttons and fastenings
Hair washing/ drying as well as any required hair and skin care.
A Convene is used for toilet use- Assistance needed to apply this and empty bag as required.
Safely managing behaviours
Any other reasonable task

Social:
Innovative entertainment whether at home or out & about. We understand this may be difficult in current times but could normally include;
Going out shopping,
Site seeing (Brighton is a big favourite)
Motor racing,
Goodwood festival of Speed,
Brands Hatch,
Bowling

Accompany us to regular 3 month condition review visits at the hospital and other appointments as and when needed.
