Job Title: Personal Assistant for University course support

Summary
I am a young lady with a physical disability which affects my ability to complete my work quickly. I am currently studying Fashion Design at University, and I need a personal assistant to support me at home with my coursework, and some domestic duties if needed.

I am looking for an assistant who is:

• Patient, and able to wait for and then follow my instructions
• Able to type for me and do practical work ( e.g. pattern cutting and some sewing with my direction
• Domestic tasks if needed for e.g. laundry and light housework.
• Helping with Personal and social tasks e.g. Accompany to appointments, assistance with showering

Other Requirements 
• "Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9."
• A UK driving licence Is beneficial but not essential
• Access to own vehicle is beneficial but not essential

Description
Typical duties

Domestic - 
Helping with laundry, washing and drying
Light housework including dusting, vacuuming
Any other reasonable task

Personal Care: 
Assistance with Showering
Assistance with Dressing and undressing
Any other reasonable task

Social: 
• Accompanying me to appointments when necessary
• Any other reasonable task

Person specification
The successful applicant will be: 
• Female due to personal care needs
• Good general fitness
• Flexible, reliable, honest
• Patient
• Ability to undertake domestic activities
• Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
• Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom
• Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety
Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
