Job Title: Personal Assistant.

Hours/shifts: 34 weeks of the year at 35 hours. 18 weeks of the year at 12 hours

I am looking to employ a permanent P.A. when I am at college and during college holidays.
That will mean for 34 weeks of the year, I will need you 5 days of the week and for college holidays I will need you for 2 days of the week. I will pay you though, the same amount monthly. That way, it will work for you and me.

I have a mild learning disability and an amazing sense of humour.
I live at home in the Lancing, Shoreham area and go to college.
I need you to drive me to college in my own car and support me there.
The other days, we will hang out together, go swimming, the gym, shopping, Ghost hunting.
Driving is an essential part of this role, so you will need a full driving licence.
There is some personal care, which you will be trained for.
You will be entitled to holiday pay and a pension scheme.

Other Requirements  
• Must have a UK driving licence 
• Must have been driving for over 2 years
All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Typical duties

Personal Care: 
• Catheter care. Full training will be given in regards to this.
• Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting employer to get changed at swimming pool/gym.
• Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')
• Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, general assistance
• Physiotherapy exercises

• Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
• Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities, including to swimming and the gym
• Accompanying employer to doctors/hospital appointments when required
• Accompanying to social meetings e.g. friends, family
• The above duties will involve driving the employer in the PA’s car, possibly pushing the employer’s wheelchair when out. 
• Whilst on duty at the employer’s home watching TV and assisting with my hobbies.
