Job Title: Personal Assistant/Support Worker

Hourly rate: £10.75 an hr

Hours/shifts: Required to work 96 hours over a 4 week rolling rota. Shifts are 7am – 2pm and 2pm – 7am

• We are looking for a positive and outgoing person to become the missing link of a dynamic care team in Ferring
• The role is to assist a young gentleman with Acquired Brain Injury in his everyday living
• You would support him to develop his skills whilst introducing him to new ideas.
• He enjoys going out most days in his car getting involved in activities
• This is a part time position on a rolling four week rota.

Other Requirements 
• Must have a UK driving licence 

All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Job Purpose
Providing care to a single young man by minding, developing and working towards him living a full filled life.
Job Duties
Making sure he is safe and secure. Working with him to develop his skills and introducing him to new ideas. Providing nutritious meals and involving the client in all aspects of the day. To take him out in his car on a daily basis and to appointments and activities that have been arranged.
To attend monthly staff meetings on site to discuss new developments/ideas.
Extensive shadowing, training and full support will be given.

Domestic -       
Supporting in the home with general cleaning, tidying and providing nutritious meals

Personal Care: 
• Support and prompting with personal care
• Medication administration

• Supporting to go out to activities and appointments in the car
• Keeping safe and offering lots of encouragement to engage in fulfilling activities
• Supporting with hydrotherapy

The successful applicant will be:

Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to these roles.
