Summary

  • One or two Personal Assistants PAs/ Support Workers to support my 14 year old who has severe autism and limited speech.
  • Engage my son in activities he enjoys, such as swimming, and trips to the park and keep him safe
  • Experience of working with young people on the autistic spectrum. 

Hours/Shifts

12 hours over 4 weeks in the school term time and 7 hours per week in the school holidays 

Other Requirements

Must have a UK driving licence

Must have access to own vehicle

All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check

Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.

Description

Nature of the work:

I am looking for a kind and compassionate PA to engage my 14 year old son in  activities he enjoys  in the community and to keep him safe. 

Typical duties

  • Supervise my son when he uses the toilet to ensure he and his environment are clean and hygenic 
  • Assistance with dressing and undressing on occasion

Social:             

  • Accompanying my son when accessing social and leisure activities, including swimming and trips to the park and other activities he enjoys.
  • On occasion engaging my son in activities at home.
