Tuesdays – 7.30 – 9.30 am (2 hours) + Sundays – 7.30 – 9.30 am (2 hours) + Sundays 18.00 - 21.00 pm (3 hours) Summary Friendly & upbeat Husband & Main Carer requires a reliable and motivated PA to support him in providing care to his wife with Huntington’s Disease. To assist with all aspects of daily personal care, including transfers, washing & showering, cleaning teeth, dressing, toileting & personal hygiene and preparing & feeding breakfast. Full training will be provided and applications are encouraged from those who could do all hours or just 1 or 2 of the available shifts. Description Typical duties Domestic To tidy bathroom, bedroom & kitchen after use. Personal Care Washing and bathing/showering – towelling dry/ drying hair Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required Assistance with applying cream General hair/skin care Using the toilet Dressing and undressing Assistance with getting out of bed using a hoist Mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat Person specification The successful applicant will be: The successful applicant will be someone of a kind patient & caring nature able to communicate and work alongside the client’s family members, ideally with previous caring experience in all areas including hoisting & transfers, showering and dressing on a hospital bed with slide sheets and feeding.
