Some flexibility to provide sickness/holiday cover an advantage. Summary • Personal Care Assistant/Carer/Companion required to support young man to enable him to maximize his independence whilst living within his family home• Duties include assisting with personal care, dispensing medication, assisting with transfers from bed/wheelchair/bathroom using a hoist• Preparing meals and snacks• Assistance with light domestic tasks such as laundry, housework • Duties include driving large wheelchair accessible van and escorting on leisure and social activities outside the home, e.g. accompanying to wheelchair football, trips to the cinema• Applicants must be cheerful, reliable and flexible with a good sense of humour • Full training will be given• Ability to work on own initiative when requiredFlexibility to accompany on weekends away occasionally an advantageOther Requirements • Must be comfortable with pets • Non Smoker preferred• Must have a UK driving licence All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service checkSuccessful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
